Re-imagining movie posters under a minimalist aesthetic seems to be verypopular these days, but Spanish design firm Atipo takes the minimalist concept to the extreme. Their ultra-minimalist designs are so sparse that it’s almost impossible to guess the film each poster represents.

Each of Atipo's posters were designed to capture the “central metaphor” of the movie they represent. But these sparse images are more than just minimal movie posters; these visual puzzles were created in collaboration with Spanish print production agency Minke to examine the versatility of paper.

By browsing through the different images, viewers can see various types of paper, No two images were created using the same kind. As an added challenge, the designers also limited themselves to very basic manipulations that could be accomplished by anyone — folding, bending, cutting, burning, sewing, etc.
