Anyone who lives in a tiny apartment has had to get creative with small spaces in one way or another. This floating bookshelf, called By The Book, is a must-have for any bookworm short on space. Designed by Kirii Gitman, By The Book offers modern readers the opportunity to do away with traditional space-sucking contraptions and store their books in the open air. The bookshelf is suspended to the ceiling and features dangling metal clips that support the literature. The apparatus was inspired by The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, an animated film where books fly miraculously though space.
