Shirts with barely-clothed girls and (albeit slightly edited) swear words are no stranger to the shelves of plenty of retailers; mall-centered surf and skate themed PacSun is no exception. For one Utah mom however, some shirts were so egregious that she decided to take them off the racks the only way she could—by buying every last one.

And you thought your mom embarrassed you.

Judy Cox (ironic last name) and her 18-year-old son were shopping at their local mall in Orem, Utah when she noticed the "indecent" shirts in the display window of the PacSun store. They were from the very popular Visuals line, which features photography from Van Styles. When Cox was told that only the corporate office could approve the removal of the shirts from the display, she decided to buy every shirt available. The final tally was 19 shirts, for a grand total of $567.

While Utah is widely known as a haven for conservative thought and Morman values, Orem holds the particular title of "Family City USA."

"You don't have to purchase $600 worth of T-shirts," Cox stated, "But you can express your concerns to businesses and corporations who promote the display of pornography to children."

Cox plans to return the shirts before PacSun's 60-day return policy expires, but her actions are more of a symbol rather than a scheme to protect people from the perceived threat. She plans to meet with Orem's city attorney to discuss if the shirts violate city code, which outlaws the public expression of "any material that appeals to a prurient interest in sex and depicts nudity, actual, or simulated sexual conduct."

Just imagine how embarrassed her son must've been.
