Red Bull Illume, the world’s largest action and adventure sports photography competition and exhibition, is headed to Atlanta. The nighttime-only exhibition celebrates the men and women behind the camera, the individuals who do anything and everything necessary to get the perfect sports shots. This year’s contest is the largest and most competitive to date. 6,000 photographers representing 124 countries submitted over 30,000 images for consideration.
A committee selected the best 50 images to be blown up and “illuminated” in 6x6 frames. 14 of these were taken by American photographers. The exhibition will open March 20th at the Charles Allen entrance to Piedmont Park, Atlanta and will run for 10 days.
