Trying to remember everything M/M Paris has done in the world of design is difficult and nearly futile; their reach has been vast, and they continually create new, impressive pieces of the highest caliber. We simply do not deserve them. The duo, Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag, have done art direction for Björk, Kanye West, Yohji Yamamoto, and George Condo, to name a few. Their latest invitation for longtime collaborator Riccardo Tisci is exquisite and reminiscent of invitations they've designed for Givenchy previously (compiled in this book).
Created with a photograph by Mert & Marcus of model Riley Montana, the invitation is a textured mix of architectural lines, bodily curves, and loose illustration. They revealed it on Twitter a few hours ago, ahead of the actual show, and like the previous Givenchy invitations they've designed, it is a limited edition print.
Maybe you'll get invited next year to score one? Probably not, but whatever you do, just don't call their work graphic design.
@LoveTheCool maybe reason is that we ain't doing graphic design? ha.
