Artist Mark Dorf creates an amazing juxtaposition between the ceaseless access to our digital world with modified images of once-unsullied natural landscapes. By using a number of digital methods, including aging scanning technologies, 3D rendering techniques, and collage, Dorf emphasizes just how much the internet has imposed on natural environments. The results emphasize the ever-dissolving boundary between digital life and the everyday environment.

As the artist explains it:

I specifically find interest in the ways in which we have become dependent upon this technology to help aid us in our navigation of our every day and how it affects our perception of the world around us all socially, emotionally, and physically – it is no longer about logging on or off, but rather living within and creating harmony with the realms and constructs of the internet for our newest generation of inhabitants.
