Muralist DALeast has an indelible fingerprint, a loose and wiry style that’s unmistakable on the many walls he’s thrown work up on. Now, he’s translated that into two limited-edition etchings available at the preview of his new solo show, “REDOK” in Newcastle, England, tonight, November 21.

The Chinese-born, Capetown-based artist takes his work to The Outsiders gallery for a one-month exhibition, on view until December 21. According to the gallery, the show’s name comes from the Tibetan phrase for “hope and fear.” The work showcases DAleast’s distinctive, loose animalistic approach, on tea-stained canvas; these include a number of different animal renderings, inspired by the style of early modern portraiture commissions.

The limited edition prints were created in The Outsiders print shop, and are going for £225 for a signed and numbered edition of 50. If there are any left of the print after tonight, the remaining pieces will be sold on The Outsiders website on Friday, November 22, starting at 4 p.m. GMT. Grab more information on the gallery's website.
