Fan art is cool because it shows just how much a celebrity has inspired their fans. Unfortunately, inspiration and accuracy don't always go hand in hand. We've seen some terribly executed portraits of musicians in the past, but this fan art fail is even more devastating because the artwork is actually good. A$AP Rocky posted his piece of what looks like a printed image in his likeness on a painted background with lyrics from his song "Phoenix." The artist had a little trouble spelling "Basquiat" and instead painted "Basquait." None of the 55.7K people who liked the photo so far have noticed, though, so shame on all of them too. It would have been dope if the misspelled name was crossed out and replaced with the correct spelling, the way Jean-Michel Basquiat would, but the way it stands is just sad.
