For those of us who didn't grow up in New York City in the 1980's, tagged subway trains are something we've only seen in movies or in books. 4 Train riders in the Bronx today were taken back in time when a tagged train somehow made it out of the yard. There is no telling how many trains are still tagged while they aren't in use, but most of those are cleaned before we get to see them. The last of the mobile artshows were taken out of rotation back nearly 30 years ago by the New York City Transit Authority (thanks a lot!).

Head over to Gothamist for more pictures of the train that the MTA and police officers were reportedly not too happy about this morning.
