While in the past flying outside of an airplane may have only been a dream, developers at Micasa Lab have created a method of levitation that can make magic carpet rides come true. The flying carpet is powered by six pairs of neodymium magnets that can hold a live puppy off the ground, no strings attached. Although at the current stage the magic carpet can only lift small pets up to 5 pounds to a height of 2.7 inches, developers are aiming for the next prototype to be able to carry 22 pounds of weight at a height of 7.9 inches. If the technology progresses, it seems that humans will soon be able to enjoy levitation on a flying carpet.
