Le Corbusier (Charles-Édouard Jeanneret) is regarded as the one of the fathers of Modern Architecture and one of the biggest influencers of urban planning. The Museum of Modern Art has collected over 400 pieces of his sketches, paintings, designs, models, and other artwork into an exhibition entitled, “Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes.”
Guest curator Jean-Louis Cohen conceptualized the exhibition and designed it to focus on the way Le Corbusier "observed and imagined landscapes," not just on his impressive catalog of furniture designs or built structures. In the video introduction below, Cohen discusses some of the projects and designs found in the exhibition:
The exhibition is on view at MoMA from June 15 through September 23.
