After a successful run in London, the Rain Room is currently one of the most popular exhibitions at MoMA. Visitors wait in line for hours to experience the room for a few minutes and swear that it's worth it. The room is what the name implies, an indoor space where rain falls from the ceiling, but there is more to it than that. Sensors and a complicated irrigation system keep participants dry as they move through the multi-sensory installation. In the video below from the Creators Project, London-based artists rAndom International (designers of the Rain Room) talk about the planning and design process and the purpose of the installation:
