Jonathan Smith is Flickr-famous for a recent photo series using high speed photography. Smith fills light bulbs with a variety of objects, let's them explode, and captures them mid-burst, sending a shock through the Internet, especially the photography community. In an interview for Flickr, Smith, a chemist based in Indiana stated, “I needed something to balance out the analytical part of my brain, something that I could control and have fun doing.” For more of his zany, crazy, and beautiful work, check out Smith's personal website.
