North Korea is a mysterious country that we can only know so much about, as we rely on the nation and their official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) to release information. A recent image from the KCNA has been speculated to be digitally edited, depicting duplicates of hovercrafts heading into shore to portray a more intimidating, larger military force. While the vehicles nearing the shore seem to be copies of each other, two in the back also appear to be twins, while the left-most hovercraft's blurred edges and distorted shape suggest that it only exists within the image.
While North Korea's war and military threats have been consistent, this image leads us to question what to believe, as "seeing" in a digital image is no longer a reliable source today. View a detailed analysis of the graphic editing on The Atlantic.
