American artist Charley Harper illustrated many animals throughout his life. He found inspiration from his childhood growing up on a farm in West Virginia. Over his lifetime, the artist created volumes of works for projects like The Golden Book of Biology, Ford Times, the National Park Service, and the Cincinnati Zoo. He also illustrated a lot for himself. Charley Harper's Animal Kingdom from Ammo Books is a collection of the artist's interpretations of wildlife. The book is edited by one of his fans, designer Todd Oldham. It stands as a wonderful tribute to Harper who died in 2007. The book is available for purchase here.
