Some painters use nontraditional canvases for their works. Photographer/painter Andy Alcala uses his own face to create renderings of famous paintings. The University of Iowa student's series called FaceArtists is impressive, with paintings like Campbell’s Soup Can by Andy Warhol and Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
