While not all artists have specific periods signifying their artistic color choices over time (i.e. Picasso's blue and rose periods), there are more trends than we may realize. This infographic shows the color evolution of legendary artists such as Cezanne, Gauguin, Rousseau, and more, indicating internal similarities with their contemporaries. For the most part, their palettes remained natural and dark from 1895 to 1905.
