Long is not usually a world associated with homes. However, this beautiful new building in Thailand (sitting atop a hill in the Khao yai forest complex) is the world's longest house. It is composed of a white cube and 2 horizontal plates measuring 150m long. It functions as both a private and guest house, with a spa & fitness center at the east end and a 40m pool on the roof terrace.
The idea to build horizontally comes from an admiration of the local scenery and a belief that it would be possible to highlight it as one does an ocean view.
