Artist Jon Barnbrook redesigned a set of pictograms acknowledging the many contradictions of the modern Olympic games. "Olumpukes 2012" features cheeky reinterpretations that emphasize the inherent commercialism, hypocritical sponsorship deals, and overzealous security measures that are relevant to today. This isn't the first time Barnbrook's and his team have poked fun at the Olympics, but seeing how he's based in London and tonight's the opening ceremony for the games, the recent opportunity was apparently too good to pass up.
