Jil Sander is returning to her eponymous label after a seven-year hiatus with a menswear collection to be shown this Saturday. Sanders took the helm at the brand in February, after Raf Simons stepped down as creative director.
According to The New York Times, Sanders will show the menswear line at the Piazza Castello showroom in Milan, where she's held previous shows. The designer is said to be eager to make up for lost time and include what she's learned in the last few years. With all the buzz surrounding her comeback, and Simons' departure, the fashion industry will surely be watching. If any of her previous collections is an indication of what's to come, then this one's going to be another good collection. [nytimes]
