The European Cup kicks off on June 8, hosted jointly by Poland and the Ukraine. With the tournament quickly approaching, we're seeing a solid set of new national kits.

Today, Nike Football unveiled the away shirts for both France and The Netherlands. Both kits follow Nike's current blend of performance and sustainability, with 96% recycled fabrics and laser-cut ventilation. The shirts also tell unique stories inherent to each of the nations stylistic and footballing heritage.

The Netherland's will sport a sophisticated black shirt with striking orange panel on the right shoulder. Inside the neck, the graphic "Nieuwe Meesters" pays homage to 17th-century Dutch painters Rembrandt and Vermeer and offers hope to this new crop of talent on the field.

Similarly, the French away kit celebrates a tradition of maritime style. While the home kits are modeled after the iconic Mariniere shirt, the new away look keeps the stripes to a minimum (used to add punch to the sleeves). A bonded placket and constructed collar also promote French elegance.

As noted, both shirts are among the most environmentally friendly kits ever.
