The skyline of NYC is filled with water tanks residing over every building above 80-foot, and a recent project lead by filmmaker Mary Jordan is bringing in some headline names to help raise awareness towards water conservation. Word Above the Street have included Jay-Z and Thome Yorke with a group of artists participating in a 12-week project that will transform hundreds of city water towers into fresh works of art. HOV and the Radiohead frontman will join Ed Ruscha, Lawrence Weiner and many others in the upcoming nonprofit project. We all know Jay can sell water to a well, now we have to wait and see if he can paint. [GalleristNYC]
