The first Los Angeles denim manufacturer The Stronghold gives us a peak into its production process. Founded in 1895, The Stronghold was revived in 2004 by Michael Paradise and Michael Cassell who now operate a store out of Venice Beach, California. Each pair of jeans is made by hand focusing on techniques from the late 19th to mid-20th century which keeps them as authentic to the originals as possible. "Craftsmanship" and "heritage" seem to be thrown around loosely these days, but watch the video show you how The Stronghold is the real thing.
