Pharrell Talks BBC/Ice Cream Fall 2009 Preview

Pharrell Talks BBC/Ice Cream Fall 2009 Preview

Last night, we hit up the BBC/Ice Cream Fall '09 preview to see what the ever-evolving clothing label had lined up for the upcoming season. We browsed racks of all-over printed pants, sweats, and toned down button-ups, but the talk of the collection was their new "Space Hunt" range, a set of pieces that seem to be inspired by equestrian sports.

Even Pharrell made it clear that he's feeling the horse-heavy pieces the most out of the new clothing. "I really like the hunting aspect of the collection, we did t-shirts, blazers and bags of the 'Space Hunt' stuff. When asked if the new prints were a risk for him and BBC, Skateboard P replied "We always take risks, but we never share with people what those risks are." Besides the clothing grind, P told us he's in the studio working with The Clipse, Shakira, Usher and Lupe Fiasco. Check some shots of the clothes below, then look for the Holiday '09 Lookbook next week on BBC/ICE CREAM.COM...

i think BBC has now died. The past 3 seasons have just got weaker and weaker. Bring out more board decks not these vile shoes and bring back the casual tshirts and hoodies. I dont wanna be walking around town looking like i've just got back from nursery. Seriously this stuff isn't cool, people laugh at people wearing this stuff and can only really pulled off if your P or some sort of rock star.

agree 100% with your comment weird crap like that is a fashion statement for rich people that barely passes as acceptable.. but for the rest of the world, even thinking about trying to rock something like that is a death sentence... so you'd have to deal with being laughed @, not being able to re sell that crap, and wasting wayy too much money for a sub-par outfit in the first place

Its all on how you wear it. If you make it look natural and authentic then no one will laugh at you, they'll envy you. I think it's cool that each season sticks to a theme. You people know that so if you like a certain season you need to buy buy buy cause a new series is coming. I like where BBC/ICECREAM is going they are making themselves different. Remember in season 3 when they had the dollar and diamond sweaters? So many other low-end companies copied that and it ruined the BBC's. I like looking different I hate spending $300 on something then some loser spend $20 thinking he's as cool as me. I live by "FRESCO DE MORTE" (Fresh 2 Death) and that's exactly what BBC/ICECREAM is doing something new/fresh all the time.

that stuff is wack...kinda reminds of the emperor with no clothes tale.. Its sad that there are so many true artists & designers struggling to make it and this guy because of his success in another arena. If he wasn't a great producer will anybody really back or buy his stuff. Hip Hop has to grow up and stop the mass social conditioning and taking advantage of impressionable teens...thanks for letting me give my 2 cents.

Come on Pharrell, this shit is hideous. Who, in God's name, would wear that jacket and/or pants and not be made fun of? And those boots? I could easily find those at my local Walmart or Fleet Farm. My local store where I used to pick up my BBC shit is not selling their stuff anymore....and I wonder why....I talked to the manager and he said it plainly, "Nobody likes their stuff anymore. Their first couple lines were good, but now they have gone downhill."

What happened to BBC/Ice Cream line used to be one of the better streetwear lines, now there clothes are completely unwearable. I think that Pharrell is trying to hard to trendset, he should take a que from Nigo an keep it simple.

take what from nigo?? NIGO DESIGNED THIS COLLECTIOn U TWAT! People often have the wrong image of bbc, its not just a typical streetwear brand selling hoodies and jeans, it wants to position itself higher in terms of design and so something more avant-garde, too bad u guys dt get it.. in a few weeks ull see people rocking it and u will actually see the potential!
