The 2017 season—or at least the preseason—is upon us. The last week of July represented the last last week without some form of NFL football until the second week of February. And so now those of us who are ready for some football can now focus our collective attention on the upcoming NFL season.
And this year, as you could have probably guessed by the headline, there is at least one reason to be optimistic about the start of another season. Even for those who far fans of teams that are practically guaranteed to be total trash. If you’re a Patriots or Seahawks fan, that something is pretty obvious: A championship. But if you’re a fan of a team like the Jets, 49ers, or Jaguars we still found something for you to get excited about.
So without further adieu, here is one thing every NFL fanbase has to look forward to.
Arizona Cardinals: The last hurrah for Fitz, Palmer, and Arians?
Atlanta Falcons: Revenge.
Baltimore Ravens: Joe Flacco's best receiving corps.
Buffalo Bills: A playoff appearance this millennium.
Carolina Panthers: That Christian McCaffrey lives up to his rave camp reviews.
There’s one thing about Christian McCaffrey that makes him much different from most NFL running backs. Can you guess what it is?
If you guessed “a rare combination of power and speed,” you’re correct. McCaffrey ran a 4.48 40 at the combine, while weighing in at 205 pounds. The Panthers are very, very high on him.
Here are a couple of headlines about how the Panthers feel about their rookie running back:

Cam Newton preferred Christian McCaffrey over Leonard Fournette
And just a few days ago, he made this amazing move in camp on former Defensive Player of the Year Luke Kuechley:
