Kevin Durant weighed-in on the beef with a defense of his teammate against Shaq's non-stop mockery.

"JaVale works extremely hard. He has come in here and done so much for us. He only wants to be respected just like everyone else," Durant said. "I understand Shaq works for a company that wants him to do that kind of stuff, to make fun of players when it’s cool and funny. But when you just keep doing it time and time again, for no reason, and then the guy actually disagrees with you, then you threaten him?”

He also questioned how Shaq, a reserve police officer, was getting away with this. "I didn’t know cops could threaten civilians like that," he said. "It’s definitely childish, but that’s what they want from these stars and these retired players, is to feud with the guys playing now and make arguments. If I was JaVale I’d feel the same way. It’s childish.”

Shaquille O'Neal stirred the pot once again on TNT's Inside the NBA last night when he took another shot at JaVale McGee with a Dr. Strange parody video centered around the Shaqtin' A Fool regular

Even though McGee told Shaq in a 2013 Inside the NBA interview that he doesn't watch the Shaqtin' A Fool segment, he apparently managed to see this parody video, and fired back at O'Neal.

Things escalated very quickly once Shaq threatened to smack the shit out of McGee.

The feud between JaVale and Shaq even got Golden State Warriors fan Lil B involved, who floated the possibility of a Based God Curse headed O'Neal's way.

How does The Based God Curse impact a retired NBA player? We may find out soon.
