It’s only September, but if we had to guess, His & Hers co-hosts Michael Smith and Jemele Hill just blew whatever was left in their annual budget to make this spoof of the classic Anchorman fight scene. And you know what? It was well worth the investment.

Smith and Hill have actually been kicking around the idea of creating this spoof for awhile now. On Monday, His & Hers producer Ed Eck called the scene the show’s "white whale." In the past, Smith and Hill have created spoofs of Coming to America, Empire, and Step Brothers. But as you’ll quickly see when you press play on the clip above, this one, which is called Co-Anchorman: The Legend of His & Hers, is easily the most ambitious. In addition to Smith and Hill, it also features the Mike & Mike, NFL Live, SportsCenter AM, and One Nación crews, and it’s narrated by the legendary Bob Ley. There’s a not-so-subtle jab at Fox Sports 1 tucked into the final moments of the spoof as well that you’re going to want to listen out for.

It’s clear that a lot of time, work, and, of course, money went into making the spoof possible:

And it appears as though it paid off. The spoof got a love of love on Twitter after it was unveiled on His & Hers Tuesday:
