If LeBron James were to take his talents to handball, how long would it take for him to be as dominant in that sport as he is in basketball? "Maybe six months" U.S. national team coach Javier Garcia-Cuesta told the Washington Post. "This is just a hypothetical. He has everything. When you see him playing, your mouth drops."
Being the U.S. national team's coach, Garcia-Cuesta may be providing a biased response of LeBron's handball game potential. So, the Washington Post reached out to Mikkel Hansen of Denmark for his take on the matter. You see, Hansen has been considered the LeBron of the sport, winning numerous awards this year, including the equivalent of the Most Valuable Player award in the French League and the International Handball Federation’s world player of the year trophy for the second consecutive season. So what does he think of James being compared to him? "It’s difficult to talk about that," he said, laughing. "I admire LeBron James very much. I’m a big basketball fan. The way he sees the court, his vision for the game, is very impressive. There you would have a good start. And physically, he is amazing. But you also need to throw the ball. So, yeah. Maybe."
