John Cena hosted the 2016 ESPY Awards on Wednesday night, and the WWE used it to their full advantage. If you missed the show, you can check out Cena’s opening monologue here, which featured him referencing the world of pro wrestling while poking fun at some of the professional athletes who were in attendance.

But Vince McMahon’s organization made its presence felt at the ESPYs before Cena even got on the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. WWE superstars like The Miz walked the red carpet prior to the show:

BREAKING: Did @WWETheBigShow just challenge @NBA Legend @Shaq to a MATCH at @WWE @WrestleMania? #ESPYshttps://t.co/5hB3nadNJs

— WWE (@WWE) July 13, 2016

And it appears as though the WWE used the pre-show festivities to book one of its first matches for WrestleMania 33. In the video below, you can see Big Show talking with Shaq on the red carpet. Shaq made an appearance at WrestleMania 32 back in April and challenged Big Show to a match after getting eliminated from the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, and from the sound of the conversation he had with Big Show at the ESPYs, it looks like he could be back again in 2016 to square off with Big Show:

Great to see you on the @ESPYS Red Carpet @SHAQ...now meet me in the ring @WrestleMania! https://t.co/FJPrxzx3yS

— Paul Wight (@PaulWight) July 13, 2016

Does this mean we’ll see these two giants in the ring in Orlando, Fla. next April? TBD. But Big Show sent out this tweet about his meeting with Shaq a short time after it happened:

Regardless of whether or not the two end up wrestling, props to the WWE for making the most of all the free publicity they got this week thanks to Cena’s hosting gig.
