The Road to WrestleMania officially kicks off every year with the Royal Rumble, and the 2016 edition has left many people talking. Triple H, a man who went from joining the WWE in 1995 to being the current Executive Vice President of the WWE, entered the Royal Rumble at #30 (of 30 entrants) to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, his 14th heavyweight title in the federation.

The story of the match was former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns starting off the Royal Rumble at #1 and having to win the match in order to retain. Everything was thrown at Reigns, from a debuting AJ Styles to the Sheamus-led League of Nations, who pulled Roman out of the ring and assaulted him (under Vince McMahon's orders), taking him out of the match early.

Roman ended up returning to the match later on in the night, but he was ultimately no match for a fresh Triple H.

Triple H actually ended up eliminating Reigns, giving his signature D-X crotch chop after doing the deed.

Triple H had no problem defeating Dean Ambrose (who wrestled a SICK Last Man Standing match with Kevin Owens in the opener), but the real question is this: who will Triple H face at WrestleMania? The obvious match is with Roman Reigns, right? There has been talk of The Rock facing Triple H at some point, and we know that The Rock will be at WrestleMania 32.

It looks like we'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow night at Raw to get some idea of where the WWE is going.
