Watch Jay Williams Lose A Game of One-On-One to MTV's Andrew Schultz

Time to really hang 'em up, Jay.

Last month, ESPN's Jay Williams appeared on "The Brilliant Idiots," a podcast co-hosted by MTV's Andrew Schultz and Charlamagne Tha God. During the interview, Schultz claimed he could score seven points on the former Duke standout. Being the competitive guy he is, Williams bet him $500 that he couldn't and even spotted Schultz six points. The two played the game up on Twitter with Schultz asking Steve Blake for advice:

And Jay put him on blast for talking a big game:

. @cthagod Your boy @andrewschulz just talks. No reply to my last text. & I misspelled his name out of disrespect. pic.twitter.com/L0Rg8kivDO

Plot twist:

Schultz's shit-talking was the real deal. He ended up beating Jay with a very lucky bounce while he wore a powder blue North Carolina uniform. For those that don't know, Jay was a standout player in Duke before the Chicago Bulls drafted him with the No. 2 pick in 2002.

Jay confirmed the lucky bounce with this tweet:

Hail Mary full of grace .... Were the words @andrewschulz used to beat me 7-6. #Damn #NextPlay

It's embarrassing to be a Blue Devil today.
