Not every feel good story can end like Love & Basketball—the real world is far shittier.

On Friday, we talked about Central Missouri running back LaVance Taylor. He went undrafted despite rushing for almost 2,000 yards in one season, but the Chiefs decided to give him a shot after he tweeted them a highlight reel. Despite playing in the overlooked Division-II, Taylor made it to the big leagues.

But dreams are temporary. KCTV reported that Taylor got cut three days after signing. The news is made even more disappointing by how Taylor was a lifelong Chiefs fan as he grew up in Kansas City. After the announcement, the Chiefs signed running back Darrin Reaves, who was also undrafted when he signed to the Panthers last year.

At least give Taylor credit for keeping his head up.

I still believe and I will continue to work for my dream to be the best 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
