Steph Curry had his time. He had one of the best three-point shooting performances ever last season. He won a championship. His daughter is a star. But his reign as champion and MVP will end. Anthony Davis cometh. Autumn is coming and Davis shall be its king.
Davis is good at basketball, but people have been sleeping on his three-point shot. Even Davis himself. He only made one three-pointer, which happened to be a game-winner, last season.
Plus, it looks like Davis has been working through the summer to add the long-range shot into his arsenal. Back in July, Davis was seen shooting and draining threes like he's been doing this shit since he came out of the womb.
Davis only attempted 12 three-pointers last season. That's going to change in a few months. SLAM asked him about the video of him hitting those practice shots, and he implied that's a hint of what might come.
SLAM: There was a video out a few weeks ago with you working on your three-point shot. Can we expect you to step out and take more going forward?
So there's that and the word that Davis has been bulking up during the summer. The Pelicans revealed earlier this week that Davis added around 12 pounds of muscle. In other words, stay out of the paint.
Beware. Autumn approaches.
