Game 2 was actually supposed to be a contest. The Cavaliers came into this game with Kyrie Irving sitting out with left knee tendonitis and Kevin Love still only on the court in spirit. So the Hawks had a bit of an advantage in their quest to even the series.
But this was one of the games were LeBron James decided to dominate. So it wasn't a great two-and-a-half hours for the Hawks. We ended up getting some of this:
A little bit of this:
Some of those:
A bit of what-the-fuck:
But it's OK because there was some more of this
In fact, it got so bad that the refs decided to call foul on clean blocks. So poor Tristan Thompson had to get robbed.
It didn't really do much for the Hawks. James finished with a near triple double: 30 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists. Hawks got destroyed, 94-82, at home as both Al Horford (knee) and Kyle Korver (sprained ankle) went down with injuries.
With the way things look, Irving could just chill until the Finals. That would leave him well-rested when the Cavs face the Warriors the Western Conference champions. That's exciting for the Cleveland, but aggravating for everyone else who's watching this weak series.
