Challenge accepted?

On Friday night, Floyd Mayweather made an appearance on Showtime and called Manny Pacquiao out. He said that he had a date for a possible Mayweather/Pacquiao matchup all picked out and that he was ready to step into the ring with Pacquiao as soon as his promoter Bob Arum agreed to the fight. Now, Pacquiao has responded—and he sounds like a man who is ready to rumble.

"He [Mayweather] has reached a dead end," Pacquiao said, according to Sky Sports. "He has nowhere to run but to fight me. I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he's gonna engage me in a slugfest. You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep."

Pacquiao also said that money is not an issue and that he doesn't care how much he ends up making for the fight.

"Mayweather can get the amount he wants," he said. "I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So money is not the issue in our fight. This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy, and, above all, this is for the good of boxing."

Soooo…Where does that leave us? Fight? No fight? Someone put their name down on a legally-binding contract and let's get this show on the road!
