A College Athletic Director Resigns After Getting Caught Talking About a Female Soccer Player's Mom

Did University of Arkansas-Little Rock athletic director Chris Peterson deserve to lose his job over this?

Chris Peterson has been the athletic director at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock for 14 years now. But he lost his job abruptly earlier this week after he was forced to resign when audio of him talking about a female soccer player's mom leaked out.

The audio was captured back on August 22 during a women's soccer game between UALR and Chicago State. The school typically sets up a camera in the UALR press box in order to show a video feed of soccer games on the school's website. But on that day, a mic was accidentally left on, too, which led to Peterson's comments being captured as well.

"She had her (expletive) hanging out," he can be heard saying at one point, in reference to the player's mother. "Remember that?…I got to make sure I'm in town for the weekend on Parents' Day."

You can hear the audio, courtesy of the Arkansas Times, below. Peterson resigned on Tuesday and will cut all ties with the school on September 15.
