Prior to the start of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup on Aug. 30, Team USA will need to cut their roster down to 12 players. They moved one step closer in that direction today after reportedly letting go of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Paul Millsap. Now, the roster stands at 15 with the following guys:

Guards

  • Stephen Curry

  • DeMar DeRozan

  • James Harden

  • Kyrie Irving

  • Kyle Korver

  • Damian Lillard

  • Derrick Rose

  • Klay Thompson

Forwards

  • Anthony Davis

  • Kevin Durant

  • Kenneth Faried

  • Gordon Hayward

  • Chandler Parsons

  • Mason Plumlee

Centers

  • DeMarcus Cousins

  • Andre Drummond

Four more cuts need to be made. Who should be the next crop out? Twitter is already call for the head of one particular player already...

1.

Coach K keeps Mason Plumlee but cuts John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Paul Millsap. This is why you lost to Mercer and Lehigh
