Want to know who Michael Sam has been showering with in the Rams locker room? You're not going to be able to count on ESPN or SportsCenter to provide you with that information anymore.

Yesterday, The Worldwide Leader in Sports ran a ridiculous report about Sam's showering habits during a segment about his chances of making the Rams roster. And it was awkward, to say the least. So a short time ago, ESPN released a statement apologizing for the report and promising not a run a report like it again.

"ESPN regrets the manner in which we presented our report," the statement said. "Clearly on Tuesday we collectively failed to meet the standards we have set in reporting on LGBT-related topics in sports."

Clearly. At the very least, we now know we won't be subjected to any more of these ridiculous reports (we hope!). But who thought it would be OK to run a segment on Sam's showering habits in the first place?
