Ever since late yesterday afternoon when ESPN announced that they were going to suspend Stephen A. Smith from ESPN First Take and ESPN Radio for the next week in light of the remarks he made about domestic violence last Friday morning, everyone has chimed in with an opinion on the suspension. From those who love the fact that SAS was suspended to those who think that he should have been fired to those who don't think a suspension was warranted, there has been no shortage of reactions. But Stephen A. himself has been quiet with regards to the suspension…until now.
TMZ Sports caught up with Stephen A. at LaGuardia Airport today and asked him about the suspension. And to his credit, he didn't back down from any of the questions he was asked. He took responsibility for saying what he did, revealed that he has not yet spoken with his ESPN co-worker Michelle Beadle, and talked briefly about the comments that he made.
