The final pieces of the 2015 Dodge (remember, SRT brand is gone) Challenger SRT Hellcat launch are here, including starting prices and specs. They come on the day that the press (including our very own Stirling Matheson) get the first chance to put the monster's rubber to asphalt.

Starting prices and basic specs for the entire Challenger lineup are as follows:

Challenger SXT (Pentastar V6 - 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque): $26,995
Challenger R/T (5.7L HEMI V8 - 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque): $31,495
Challenger R/T Scat Pack (6.4L HEMI V8 - 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque): $38,495
Challenger SRT 392 - (6.4L HEMI V8 - 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque): $45,995
Challenger SRT Hellcat (6.2L HEMI V8 - 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque): $59,995

For a car that runs a 10.8-second quarter-mile, reaches 199 mph, and will have a 0-60 time in the mid threes, $60K is a hell of a deal. Compare that to 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with 662 horsepower for $55,110 and the 2014 Chevy Camaro ZL1 with 580 horsepower for $55,355. The track-focused Camaro Z/28, which would probably beat this Hellcat on a course, has 505 horsepower and starts at $72,305.
