Believe it or not, there are stories in the world of sports today that don't involve the words "cramp," "cramps," or "cramping" in them. And one of the biggest sports stores outside of the story about LeBron James and his dehydration last night involves former NBA player Rashad McCants.

Recently, McCants sat down with ESPN's Outside the Lines to talk about his time at the University of North Carolina and the allegations of academic fraud that have been made against the school. And he made some pretty stunning revelations about UNC, including telling OTL that he once made the Dean's List in the spring of 2005 without attending a single class. Both UNC and McCants' former head coach Roy Williams have denied the allegations made by McCants. Former UNC players like Kendall Marshall and Wayne Ellington have spoken out against McCants' claims, too. But McCants contends that he didn't do much academically during his time in college.

"I thought it was a part of the college experience, just like watching it on a movie from He Got Game or Blue Chips," he said. "When you get to college, you don't go to class, you don't do nothing, you just show up and play. That's exactly how it was, you know, and I think that was the tradition of college basketball, or college, period, any sport. You're not there to get an education, though they tell you that."

Hear what else McCants had to say to OTL in the clip above. Are you surprised by any of it?
