As you've no doubt seen by now, LeBron Jamessuffered from a bad case of legs cramps last night during Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals. The cramps were actually so bad that he was unable to return to the game late in the fourth quarter, and he was forced to sit on the sideline writhing in pain as the Heat went down in flames against the Spurs. But despite this, people showed LeBron absolutely no mercy after the game and took shot after shot after shot after shot after shot at him on social media. And even Gatorade got in on the action by taking a couple of well-timed shots at King James on Twitter.
Shortly after the game ended, several people directed tweets to @Gatorade on the social media site asking the company why it didn't help LeBron out in his time of need. And whoever runs Gatorade's Twitter handle was quick to point out that LeBron runs with Powerade, not Gatorade, which is why they were unable to help hydrate him. Here are just a few of the responses that Gatorade sent back to people:
@LazyBumDrew we were waiting on the sidelines, but he prefers to drink something else.

@dufresne33 Hydration definitely would've helped.
Yikes. And what did Powerade have to say about all of this? Well, they sent out this tweet while Game 1 was still in progress:
Consistency, unselfishness and a drive to succeed. Congrats @KingJames on 4,000+ points and 1,000+ assists in the post-season. #powerthrough
But after that…nothing. So Game 1 wasn't just bad for LeBron James and the Heat. It may have also been bad for business for Powerade.
