"Entry level" for Koenigsegg would be well over double the average American home's value.

Koenigsegg has our attention. The One:1 certainly achieved that with its gorgeous body and by having a horsepower per kilogram of weight. People who don't have well over a million dollars to drop on a car, however, are out of luck, as Koenigsegg doesn't make cars that cost less than $1 Million.

Motoring.com.au interviewed company founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg at the New York Auto Show and discovered that a slightly less ludicrously expensive 'Egg is in consideration. This "entry level" Koenigsegg would be positively cheap (when compared to the cost of most countries) at around $650,000. Yes, that's twice the cost of a Lamborghini Aventador, but it would occupy a hole in the market between the Aventador and F12 and the likes of the Koenigsegg Agera and Pagani Huayra. Perhaps this move makes some sense.
