Are the Celtics preparing to trade Rajon Rondo to the Rockets before tomorrow's NBA trade deadline? The short answer is…no. As of right now, there is no deal in place between Boston and Houston.

You wouldn't know that by looking at Twitter, though. "Rondo to the Rockets" has been trending for most of the afternoon. Rumors about Rondo being traded to H-Town have been flying around. And according to ESPN, the Rockets have looked into making a deal with the Celtics for Rondo. But again, there is not a deal in place right now.

So what's the hold up? Well, it sounds like the Celtics want the Rockets to give them Chandler Parsons in any deal for Rondo (which is why "Parsons" is trending as well). And the Rockets are unwilling to give up Parsons. They have lots of other assets and draft picks that they've made available. But the major sticking point right now is Houston's unwillingness to trade Parsons.

There are still about 21 hours between now and the trade deadline. So who knows? Maybe the Rockets will come around to the idea of trading Parsons to Boston. But at this moment, no deal is in place.
