Want to see an athlete attempt to murder—literally murder—another athlete in the middle of a game? Then take a look at the video above that features footage of a baseball game that took place in Cuba last night between the teams Matanzas and Villa Clara.

In the seventh inning of the game, Villa Clara pitcher Freddy Alvarez hit a batter in the head with a fastball and then turned around and tried to hit another batter before the end of the inning. And as you might expect, that ignited a brawl between the two ball clubs. It wasn't one of those MLB "brawls" that starts with two guys jawing at each other and ends with both teams doing a whole lot of talking and not much else, either. It was an all-out brawl that included Matanzas player Demis Valdes rushing the mound with a bat, winding up, and taking a cut at Alvarez's head. Fortunately, he didn't connect. But OHMIGOD, DID YOU SEE HOW CLOSE HE WAS TO KNOCKING HIS BLOCK OFF?!?!?

After a brief delay, cooler heads eventually prevailed and both teams made their way back to their respective dugouts. But this could have been bad, real bad, if Valdes hadn't missed Alvarez's head.
