DeSean Jackson Waited Just Two Days After the End of the Eagles Season to Start Talking About a New Contract

This could be trouble for Philly.

Hey, Eagles: SHOW DESEAN JACKSON THE MONEY!

Even though Philadelphia's 2013-14 NFL season literally just ended due to a playoff loss to the Saints on Saturday night, Jackson is already talking about trying to get a raise during the offseason. He still has three years remaining on the five-year deal that he signed back in 2012. But his salary is set to decrease over the course of the next three seasons, and Jackson doesn't like that.

"We'll see how that plays out," he said earlier today. "Hopefully, we can work things out smoothly and not have to worry about anything out of the ordinary."

Translation: Pay me…or else.

We can't really fault Jackson for trying to get more money out of the Eagles. He played a big role in their success this season and probably deserves a pay raise. But he couldn't have waited, like, a week to start talking about it? At the very least, pretend like you're so devastated over the end of your season that you can't bear to think about money. Even if money is the only thing on your mind, it'll make you look better when it comes to the fans.
