Is Drake attempting to become the "Global Ambassador" for another pro sports franchise?

It sure sounds like it. Because although he's not working with the team in an official capacity, the Toronto rapper is reportedly helping Toronto FC of Major League Soccer recruit players right now. Toronto FC hasn't gone on the record with this information. But according to Sports Illustrated, Drake is a big fan of Toronto FC—check out the images that he posted to his Instagram last year in the thumbs gallery—and is trying to help them get players like Alberto Gilardino, Jermain Defoe, and Samuel Eto'o to come to Toronto to play at BMO Field next season.

Toronto FC could use the help, too. They haven't made the MLS Playoffs since 2007 when they joined the league. And the future of the franchise seems pretty bleak as of right now. But if Drake is, in fact, lending a hand and helping recruit players, that could change pretty quickly. Let's just hope he doesn't create another video like this anytime between now and the start of the next MLS season.
