Yesterday, reports revealed that Julio Jones could miss the remainder of the 2013-14 NFL season after supposedly breaking a screw that was put in his foot back in 2011. However, Jones sought a second opinion from Dr. Robert Anderson on the injury. After meeting with Dr. Anderson, the 24-year-old Falcons receiver has decided to go ahead with the season-ending procedure.
Jones' absence for the remainder of the season, coupled with a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter that Roddy White could miss one game or more with a pulled left hamstring, and it's become increasingly difficult to believe that the Falcons will be able to bounce back from their 1-4 start and make the playoffs this year.
