After this season we'll get our pro-playoff wish. Finally. A four-team playoff is great and all, but 10 years from now it'll be a massive cash grab with way too many squads. Playoffs constantly expand until even average teams have an equal shot at the title. That's the problem.
Every March, the nation goes buck over the NCAA Tournament, but fans tune out November through February. In college football, on the other hand, every week is like the NCAA Tournament. The season is one giant 15-week playoff. While the BCS isn't perfect (just ask the 2004 Auburn Tigers or anyone who realized last year's Notre Dame was a joke), don't say we didn't warn you when they start doubling the bracket size every year and the regular season becomes just as meaningless as every other sport.
