TVR Is Returning With Two New Models in 2015

The CEO says the primary competition will be used Aston Martins.

In order to explain just how nuts TVRs were, Jeremy Clarkson described them as such: "In the olden days I always got the impression that TVR built a car, put it on sale, and then found out how it handled. Usually when one of their customers wrote to the factory complaining about how dead he was." TVRs were best known for being pure to the point of danger, they were like the roaring race cars of decades past, and sadly, TVR then became a thing of the past as well.

Luckily, as we informed you a few weeks ago, the company has been purchased by a small group of British investors, and has now announced that it will debut not one, but two new cars in 2015. These new cars will be as powerful as possible, and as free of electronic whatnot as the law allows. Chairman Les Edgar says that he thinks the company's top competition will "a secondhand Aston", not the tech-centric sportscars of Germany.

While there are no plans for export yet, we can hope that a massively powerful British sportscar could be on the horizon for us. Starting at £50k ($75k as of publication), we might even be able to afford a secondhand one some day.
